Settings
Open Settings from your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then Settings. Settings has six tabs. To find one quickly, type its name in Search settings; picking a result opens the right tab.
The General and Chat settings are saved in the browser you’re using, so another device can have its own.
General
Section titled “General”Under Appearance:
- Theme: Dark (the default), Light, System (follows your device), High contrast dark or High contrast light.
- Language: the app’s language. Auto detect follows your browser, or pick one of about 50 languages. The sign-in screen has the same picker.
- Message Font Size: the text size of messages.
- Chat direction: left-to-right or right-to-left, for languages such as Arabic and Hebrew.
- Press Enter to send messages: on by default. Turn it off to make Enter add a new line; then send with Ctrl + Enter, or ⌘ + Enter on a Mac.
- Open Thinking Dropdowns by Default: when a reply includes the model’s thinking, show it expanded instead of collapsed.
- Auto-Scroll to latest message on chat open: jump to the newest message when you open a conversation. Turn it off to keep your place when you come back to a chat.
- Temporary Chat by default: start every new chat as a temporary chat. Temporary chats stay out of your history and are deleted after one week.
Data & Privacy
Section titled “Data & Privacy”Under Your data:
- Import conversations: bring in conversations exported from ChatGPT, Claude, Chatbot UI or LibreChat, as a
.jsonfile. - Manage files: see and delete files you’ve uploaded.
- Archive all chats: after you confirm, move every conversation out of your history into Archived chats, without deleting them. Open them again from the menu under your name.
Under Danger zone:
- Delete all chats: permanently delete every conversation. This can’t be undone. Files you uploaded and images Aderra generated are not deleted with them: remove those in Manage files.
You may also see a Memory section with Reference saved memories. Aderra doesn’t save memories, so this switch has no effect either way.
Account
Section titled “Account”- Profile Picture: click Change picture to upload one.
- Two-factor authentication: add a code from an authenticator app to your sign-in. Only for accounts with an email and password. See Your account.
- Backup codes: shown once two-factor is on. Each one signs you in once if you lose your phone.
- Delete account: under Danger zone. See Deleting your account.
Billing & usage
Section titled “Billing & usage”A summary of your plan and balance:
- your current plan, and a status line: when a crypto plan ends (“Paid with crypto · ends” and the date), or “You’re on the free plan.”,
- Credits available: your balance, and roughly what it buys.
Change plan or buy credits closes Settings and opens the Plan page. If your plan was paid with crypto, Renew with crypto does the same, since those plans don’t renew by themselves. See Payments.
Create a key here with an optional name and Create key, copy it (it’s shown once), and revoke keys you no longer use. A key made here is a terminal key: it spends your plan’s credits and works on Plus and above, the same as a key from the Connect page. For a key that spends a separate prepaid API wallet and works on any plan, use the Developers page. See API keys and the API.
