Slide decks

Aderra can build a presentation as an artifact: a deck of slides that runs next to the chat, one slide at a time. Decks are included on Plus, Pro and Max, like all artifacts. A credit pack on the Free plan doesn’t add them.

Give it the topic, the audience, roughly how many slides, and anything that must be in it.

  • “A 7-slide investor deck for Crumb, a neighbourhood bakery: problem, product, market, traction, team, the ask.”
  • “Ten slides for a team kick-off on our new support process. Friendly tone, one chart of ticket volume.” Then paste the numbers.
  • “Turn this outline into a deck.” Then paste the outline.
  1. The title slide first, as a picture. Aderra makes one landscape mockup of the title slide. It’s an image: 300 credits, or a different price for an adult design made on the uncensored model. See what a build costs.
  2. Then every other slide in that style. The deck keeps the title slide’s colours, fonts, margins and decoration, but each slide gets a layout that suits it: a big number, a comparison, a chart, a quote.
  3. One slide at a time. Aderra adds the slides one by one, so a deck usually takes a few minutes. You can switch tabs, and where your browser supports it, ask to be notified when it’s done.

Aderra is asked to build every deck this way, so this is what you’ll normally get, but check the result. Each slide carries one idea, with a headline that states the point and little body text. Charts are drawn into the slide itself.

  • Move between slides with the previous / next buttons, the arrow keys or the space bar. A counter shows which slide you’re on. Click a slide once first, so the keys go to the deck.
  • Slides are normally 16:9 and scale to fit the panel, so they look the same at any size.
  • Press the expanding-arrows button (Enter full screen) in the panel to present on the whole screen. It isn’t there where the browser doesn’t allow full screen, such as Safari on iPhone.

Decks are normally built so that printing gives one slide per page, without the buttons.

  1. First ask Aderra to “make the file fully self-contained”. The downloaded file doesn’t include the styling library the preview adds, so without this some slides can print unstyled.
  2. Click the down-arrow button (Download Artifact) in the panel. You get an index.html file, with any pictures built into it.
  3. Open that file in your browser. Chrome or Edge give the most reliable result.
  4. Print it (Ctrl+P, or Cmd+P on a Mac) and choose Save as PDF.

If some slides come out cut off or on the wrong pages, tell Aderra what you see (“the PDF splits slide 3 across two pages”) and download again.

Ask in the chat: “make the title much bigger”, “split the team slide in two”, “change the ask to $1M”. Aderra edits the slides it needs to. It doesn’t rebuild the whole deck. See Changing what you built for versions and going back to an earlier state.

  • A deck is a web page, not a PowerPoint file. There’s no .pptx download. Use the PDF to share it.
  • Aderra can’t see the slides. If text overflows or a slide looks wrong, describe it.
  • Numbers you didn’t give it may be placeholders. Aderra usually says so in its summary. Check them before you present.
