Images and video
You make images and videos in the chat. Ask in plain words, for example “make an image of a lighthouse in a storm”, “edit this photo so it’s night” or “turn this image into a five-second video”. Aderra picks the right tool and puts the result in the conversation. This works with both GLM-5.3 Flash and GLM-5.3 Flash Unfiltered.
Choose the image model
Section titled “Choose the image model”The chat header, next to the model name, has an Image model menu. The button shows your current choice: Best quality or Fast model. Every image is paid from your credits; the two options differ in price and quality.
| Option | What it costs | What it’s for |
|---|---|---|
| Best quality | 300 credits / image | Higher detail. It can make new images and edit existing ones. This is the default. |
| Fast | About 1 credit / image | Quick images for drafts and ideas. |
- The menu remembers your choice in this browser. Aderra never changes it for you.
- Image editing requires Best quality. If you ask for an edit while Fast is selected, nothing is made and nothing is charged. Switch to Best quality and ask again.
- After every tenth Best quality image in a day (uncensored images and mockups count too), Aderra suggests switching to Fast for drafts.
Edit and combine images
Section titled “Edit and combine images”- Edit an image: attach a photo (or use one Aderra just made) and say what to change, for example “remove the car” or “make it a watercolour”. Describe only what should change and what should stay the same.
- Combine images: attach several images in one message and describe the result, for example “put the person from the first photo into the second scene”. Up to eight of your most recent images are used.
- Edits work from your most recent images anywhere: the ones you attached or generated in the last two hours or so, in any conversation and from the terminal, not only this chat. To edit one particular picture, attach it again right before you ask. If Aderra says there is no image to edit, attach it again.
Uncensored images
Section titled “Uncensored images”On Pro and Max, when a request is explicit and the standard model would refuse it, Aderra uses an uncensored image model instead. You can also ask for one directly (“make it uncensored”). On other plans, explicit requests are declined (see below).
The standard model filters its own output. When it refuses, it usually sends back an empty image, and you are not charged for that.
What each plan includes
Section titled “What each plan includes”| Free | Plus | Pro and Max | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Images, including Best quality | Only with a credit pack | ✓ | ✓ |
| Explicit images | — | — | ✓ |
| Video | — | — | ✓ |
- Free plan: images need a paid plan or a credit pack. Video needs Pro or Max, even with a credit pack. Chat keeps working without either.
- Below Pro: before an uncensored image model runs, Aderra checks whether the request is explicit. If it is, the request is declined and nothing is charged. Every other image works as usual. The check can occasionally decline a request that isn’t explicit; rephrase it and try again. If the check can’t run at that moment, the request is declined too, so try again shortly.
- Video is Pro and Max only. On other plans a video request is declined and nothing is charged.
- The assistant tells you the request needs the Pro plan, with a link to the plans. Buying credits doesn’t unlock explicit images or video; the Pro plan does.
- The Plan page lists this on each plan card. Plus shows “Our best image model, non-explicit images”, while Pro and Max show “Unfiltered image and video generation”.
- Calls paid from your pay-as-you-go API wallet don’t follow these plan rules.
What it costs
Section titled “What it costs”Images and video come out of your credit balance, the same balance your chat uses. Current prices, in credits:
| What | Credits |
|---|---|
| New image, Fast option | About 1 |
| New image, Best quality | 300 |
| New uncensored image, Best quality | 80 |
| Edit or combine, standard model | 300 |
| Edit or combine, uncensored model | 80 |
| Video (5 seconds) | 400 |
- The Image model menu always quotes 300 for Best quality. The actual cost is in the tool result: expand the image step in the reply to see, for example, “300 credits spent.” or “1 credit spent.”
- When Aderra draws a design mockup before building a page, it always uses the best design model, whatever you picked in the menu, and charges for it.
- No plan includes free images. Every image, fast or best, is paid from your credits, so you can see each one on your balance.
- Prices can change during the beta. The Plan page always shows your current balances.
From the terminal
Section titled “From the terminal”The terminal has no Image model menu, so normal images always use the Best quality model (300 credits). Uncensored images use the fast model, about 1 credit each. Terminal access starts at the Plus plan. See Aderra CLI.
- A video starts from an image. Aderra animates your newest image from anywhere: any conversation or the terminal, within the last two hours or so. Attach the picture again right before you ask, then describe the motion.
- Aderra asks before every video. The chat pauses with “Video generation costs credits for every second. Allow this video to be generated?”. Choose Approve or Reject, then click Submit. A rejected video costs nothing.
- The question appears before your plan is checked. On a plan without video, you can approve it and still have the request declined, with nothing charged.
- From the chat, a video is always a 5-second clip.
- It takes a few minutes, and never more than about six. When the clip is ready, the reply gives you a link to it.
- Aderra doesn’t store the clip itself; only the link stays in the conversation. Open the link and save the video as soon as it’s ready, because we can’t guarantee how long the link keeps working.
Limits per reply
Section titled “Limits per reply”One reply can make at most 4 images (new images, edits and mockups all count) and 1 video. Every attempt counts, including ones that failed, were declined or that you rejected. When you reach the limit, Aderra tells you and charges nothing more. Send another message to keep going.
If a tool from a connector you added ran earlier in the same reply, Aderra also asks before making each image. That way a connected service can’t spend your credits without you knowing.
How long it takes
Section titled “How long it takes”- Fast images: a few seconds.
- Best quality images and edits: up to about a minute.
- Video: a few minutes, at most about six.
Failures and refunds
Section titled “Failures and refunds”A failed, timed-out or blank generation is not charged. Credits are set aside when a generation starts, and if it doesn’t deliver, they all go back to your balance automatically. If a reply says an image or video failed, ask again. Very rarely a reply can say a generation failed when it was actually delivered and charged; the balance on the Plan page is the record.
Where your images go
Section titled “Where your images go”- In the app, each image appears in the conversation and is saved with your account. Click an image to see it full size, then use the download button (its tooltip says Download) to save it.
- In a temporary chat, generated images are deleted along with the chat after 7 days.
- Deleting a conversation deletes the images made in it, unless another of your conversations still uses them (for example, a fork). Delete all chats in Settings removes your conversations but not their images. To remove those, go to Settings → Data & Privacy → Manage files.
- From the terminal, images are saved into an
aderra-imagesfolder in the directory you’re working in.
