Privacy

This page explains, in plain terms, what happens to your data. The Privacy Policy is the legal version.

  • Your conversations are stored so you can come back to them. They stay until you delete them.
  • We don’t use your conversations to train AI models, and we don’t sell them.
  • Your messages are sent to the AI providers that run the models. That’s how an answer gets made.
  • For a conversation that doesn’t stay in your history, use a temporary chat. Each of its messages is deleted a week after it was sent.

Access to the systems that store conversations is limited to the operator of Aderra. We look at a conversation’s content only when:

  • you send it to us: when you rate a reply with thumbs up or down, we see your rating, any note you add and the reply you rated, and we can open the conversation it belongs to. The same goes for anything you paste into a support message;
  • it’s reported as breaking the content policy, and we investigate;
  • the law requires it.
What Kept until
Your account: email, name, avatar, password (stored only as a salted hash) You delete your account
Conversations and messages, including archived ones You delete them, or your account
Temporary chats Each message is deleted a week after it was sent. A backup copy can exist for up to two more weeks.
Images Aderra makes for you Kept in your account until you delete them in Manage files, delete their conversation*, or delete your account
Files you upload You delete them in Manage files, or delete your account. Deleting a conversation doesn’t delete them.
Videos Stored by the video provider that made them and shown to you as a link. Deleting the chat removes the link, not the provider’s copy.
Agents, prompts, bookmarks and connected servers You delete them, or your account
Ratings and notes on replies Stored with the message, so they go when it goes
Usage records for each message, image, video or search: the model, token counts, credits and time As long as accounting law requires, also after you delete your account. They don’t hold your conversations.
Payment and credit records: amounts, dates, your plan and each payment’s status As long as tax and accounting law requires, also after you delete your account
Affiliate records, including payout details Kept after you delete your account, until you ask us to remove them
Support conversations, in the chat bubble or by email Kept so we can follow up, including in backups. There’s no automatic deletion; ask us to delete them.
Server logs: IP address, browser, the pages or endpoints you request, and your account ID or email on some events Rotated automatically. Most are gone within weeks; there is no fixed deadline.
Records about a serious breach of the Terms As long as it takes to handle it, or as the law requires
Backups Overwritten on a rolling cycle, currently about two weeks. The Privacy Policy allows up to 90 days.

* Deleting one conversation deletes the images generated in it. Delete all chats doesn’t.

If you’re an affiliate, every change to your payout details is also kept in a history, with the details partly masked, to prevent payout fraud.

  • Our hosting provider runs the servers, so everything Aderra stores is on its machines.
  • AI model providers receive your messages and the conversation context needed to answer. Which provider runs each model can change.
  • The support assistant in the chat bubble is an AI model, so what you write there goes to a model provider too. The chat bubble also records your IP address, browser and the page you were on.
  • Image and video providers receive your image or video request, and any image you ask Aderra to edit or animate.
  • A web search provider receives your search queries when web search is used from the terminal or the API.
  • Servers you connect on the Connectors page receive whatever Aderra sends their tools, and their answers come back into your conversation. Only connect servers you trust.
  • App previews in Build Mode run in a frame served by CodeSandbox, which also supplies the packages the preview uses. CodeSandbox sees your IP address and may receive the code being previewed.
  • NOWPayments processes crypto payments and sees the payment itself.
  • Affiliate payouts go through PayPal, Wise or a crypto network, depending on the method you choose.
  • Email delivery: our email provider receives your address and the message.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile checks for bots on the sign-up form and sees your IP address and browser signals.
  • Google, if you use Continue with Google, tells us your email address, name and profile picture.

There are no advertising trackers in Aderra, and we don’t share your data for advertising. Apart from the services listed above, we disclose data only when the law requires it: for example a valid legal order, or our legal duty to report child sexual abuse material.

  • One conversation: delete it from its menu in the sidebar. Images Aderra generated in it are deleted with it. Files you uploaded are not.
  • Everything in your history: Settings → Data & Privacy → Delete all chats. This leaves every uploaded file and generated image; remove those in Manage files.
  • Files and images: Settings → Data & Privacy → Manage files.
  • Your whole account: Settings → Account → Delete account. See what it removes.
  • Anything else, such as support conversations or affiliate records: email support@aderra.ai from your account address.
  • One conversation: open it on a computer and use Export/Share in the chat header, then Export.
  • Everything we hold about you: email support@aderra.ai. We reply within 30 days.
